Too Much Exercise Weight Loss

Excess sodium when it comes to losing weight?
Weight loss has always been about excess calories become lost weight (up muscle on one side). So, to lose weight, you have to exercise and burn calories and / or eat less. I just ate a can of soup (total calories about 120) which was great to limit my intake of calories today, however, consume about 1,800 mg of sodium, not to mention all the other soda I had today. Possibly ate more than 3,000 mg today. If sodium I ate this on a regular basis, how they affect me lose weight for a period of time?
My experience is to overdo the salt makes you retain water which in turn makes their heavier weight and it is disappointing to a dieter. I truly believe that no real weight loss inhbit. When I eat fast food, which is incredibly high in sodium, I have so thirsty that I can not get enough to drink. Oddly enough, my body wants to hang in all the liquid that makes me feel like a blimp!
