Solutions For Obesity
How can people be so cruel? Obesity is not easy, folks.?
I just read some of the locked topics on obesity and horrifies me. The Obesity is the only acceptable "Politically Correct" option for the jokes, discrimination, for staring. People, after have been there, it is very difficult. I had Roux-en-Y (gastric bypass) surgery three years ago. I had been in bed with a broken foot, and packed on the weight of my body obese. People wondered how he could afford to eat as much these people? Do not you realize that pasta, rice and potatoes are cheaper than fruit, fish and vegetables? Wow. Now eat about 7 meals (small) daily. I deficiencies in vitamins and minerals due to surgery, and now I have diabetes, but have developed hypoglycemia (about 10% of bariatric surgery patients do.) One more thing … all the teasing, anger, laughter does not make a person lose weight in any case makes you eat more. Nobody can control me. I can only control myself. This is a solution. Do not mock him.
I would have to disagree with the sign that says parents are responsible for the upbringing of these rude, inconsiderate, mean and hateful children and adults. I know some people who were raised by parents cruel and hateful, but took responsibility for their own lives, their own actions, their own trials and have become a productive part of the community. I think the problem stems from people not being held accountable for his words, actions, looks, etc. whether in relation to obesity or anything else, allowing the fault to be transmitted others rather than where it belongs … evildoers. Obesity is a disease, not a simple food addiction. Losing weight is a constant uphill battle and for many people just need lots of energy, long time with little "now" awards and a lot of obstacles. (Who can resist a slice of persuading a chocolate cake? And if you have the cake, I have to have the frosting. And if you have the cake and meringue, I have the ice cream. What the hell, you may also have a nice, cold glass of milk to wash all down.) It is much easier to pack on the pounds than it is losing. My best friend is on the border with 400 pounds. She eats very little now because they want / need to lose weight. Two jobs that require her to be standing for 16 consecutive hours. Every morning, we walked the mall local, either for thirty minutes, or until she can walk and talk at the same time, and has managed to lose a whopping 4 pounds in the last three months. I hear the laughter and giggles, and I see the stares and people pointing … I'm sure she does too. But, she sticks her nose so high in the air would drown if it rained and the pace to recover. Occasionally she needs the encouragement and support, and I guess all I can give. Good luck. The world would be so much better if there were more people like her in it.
