cannot lose weight .. i eat right, exercise, I take the Depo injection .. diet any ideas?

i had a baby 11 months ago. after i got him on the injection of Depo. I would really like to lose about 30-40 pounds. i eat right and exercise but I'm not losing weight. is the shot? any idea of diet pills or something? nothing bad or terrible side effects please. I have heard of Merida (not sure of spelling) I heard that good work. any comments?
