I'm not sure how much is a stone, but sometimes in the first 2-3 days of diet of a people lost a lot of weight due to water loss … averaging soon. The weight can fluctuate by 5 to 10 pounds due to water retention. 1500 calories is probably can … just do not go under 1200.
