Lose Weight Now Stay Slim Forever

Does it change the metabolism after having a baby?
I ask this because I was very close before I had my baby for almost 6 months and I used to lose weight very easily, for example, I might actually lose about half of a stone in a week if I just eat well, but never did because, naturally, remained thin. I have yet twenty-one pounds to lose and do not seem to matter how much you diet now simply will not come off. Will my metabolism return to your state or will forever be a struggle to lose weight? I'm eating the same as before I had the baby but all I do now is to gain weight? Thanks x
Are you lactating? And it does change, but it really depends on breast feeding and when did you stop?
